Goldie Boutilier est une autrice-compositrice-interprète canadienne originaire de Cap-Breton, en Nouvelle-Écosse. Influencée par la musique country des années 50 et 60, elle développe un style alt-country aux accents rétro, mêlant mélancolie, glamour et récits autobiographiques. Après un premier contrat chez Interscope Records et plusieurs changements d'identité artistique, elle relance sa carrière en indé en 2022 avec les EP The Cowboy Gangster Politician et Emerald Year, qui cumulent plus de 11 millions d’écoutes en streaming. Soutenue par Elton John et Zane Lowe, elle se produit sur des scènes majeures comme Lollapalooza ou Austin City Limits, et assure la première partie d’Orville Peck sur sa tournée nord-américaine. Goldie Boutilier is een Canadese singer-songwriter uit Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Beïnvloed door de countrymuziek uit de fifties en sixties, ontwikkelde ze een alt-countrystijl met retro-accenten, waarin melancholie, glamour en autobiografische verhalen samenkomen. Na een eerste contract bij Interscope Records en verschillende veranderingen in haar artistieke identiteit, lanceerde ze in 2022 haar carrière opnieuw als indieartiest met de EP’s ‘The Cowboy Gangster Politician’ en ‘Emerald Year’, die samen meer dan 11 miljoen keer zijn gestreamd.
