Drew Pignatelli is a self taught wet plate collodion photographer. Sign up to schedule your very own tintype portrait by him! Each time slot is 20 minutes starting @ 1pm. Two tintype sizes available, 4x5 ($80) & 5x7 ($95). Two people max per tintype.
What is a tintype photo?
A tintype is a one of a kind, hand crafted photo made on a metal plate. The process is entirely handmade and these plates are one of one. This unique process dates back to the 1850’s. The plate is sensitized, exposed, and developed in a darkroom. After the plate is developed, it is washed, dried and varnished, making them extremely archival. We still have tintypes around from the 1800's.
