The City of Folsom is hosting Save The Snakes Founder & Executive Director Michael Starkey for an evening learning why snakes are critically important animals for our world despite their unwanted reputation. Conflict between snakes and humans is increasing each year with an estimated 2.7 million people around the world suffering serious snakebites. Sacramento-based nonprofit organization Save The Snakes was founded in 2017 to bridge the gap between successful snake conservation efforts and human-snake conflict resolutions. Michael uses his knowledge of snake ecology, positive attitude to inspire, and enthusiasm for snake conservation to engage the public with protecting these beautiful animals.
This event is open to the public with the purchase of a ticket. Tickets are $5.
