On July 26th, 2024, we will be coming together for a deeply meaningful occasion: a Day of Service event dedicated to honoring the memory of my cherished friend, LT Dr. Claire Vanlandingham.
Claire wasn’t just a colleague; she was a beacon of light during our time in dental school, and her influence on our class was immeasurable.
Claire’s vibrant spirit and boundless energy were infectious. From our shared adventures to our love for dance and laughter, she brought an abundance of joy and positivity into every moment. Her unwavering support, encouragement, and friendship were pillars of strength for me, and the memories we crafted together will forever be cherished.
Claire’s passing left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She touched countless lives, with her genuine kindness and her vision for revolutionizing healthcare accessibility. She dreamed of reshaping the landscape of healthcare delivery, ensuring that everyone had access to essential services before major issues arose.
In honor of Claire’s legacy and her deep-seated commitment to serving others, we have chosen to dedicate this Day of Service to providing essential care and support to veterans without insurance. These remarkable individuals have made significant contributions to our nation, and it’s our humble offering to assist them in preserving their oral health and getting them out of pain.
