Olla irrigation is an ancient and sustainable method of watering plants using unglazed clay pots buried in the soil. Mary Crenshaw is a Maricopa County Master Gardener. She has lived in Maricopa County since 1988. Mary retired from Arizona State University where she worked in business administration and finance. She has been an avid gardener for more than 40 years. She has spent many happy hours researching information, experimenting, and implementing various methods in her garden. These techniques include conserving water by irrigating with ollas, supporting pollinators, raised beds and container gardens. She loves to cook with herbs and produce from her raised bed garden. In this class, she will share techniques and options for using olla irrigation and rainwater harvesting.
