Going Live: Improv for the Camera
About this Event
Step in front of the lens in this three-hour workshop on performing for the camera! No experience with cameras required, just a willingness to play and to look a little silly. You'll do a ton of scenes, on your feet the whole time, learning how to make bold choices in close quarters and how performing for a camera differs from performing for a room. We'll explore what changes when the lens finds you, why failing on purpose is the fastest way to get comfortable, and how the smallest choices land biggest on screen. Expect fast rounds, minimal lectures, no lengthy notes, and no sitting around. Everything is professionally filmed, and you'll get edited footage of yourself a few days later, reel-ready. All experience levels welcome.

About the Instructor - Frank Kyazze
Frank Kyazze is a versatile actor, writer, producer, and director. He is known for his work in various films and documentaries, including notable projects like The Man with the Red Right Hand (2012) and Dark Passenger: Volume 1 (2015). Kyazze has a strong background in documentary filmmaking, focusing on capturing authentic human experiences and stories. Frank performs improv regularly with the Big Big Show and Nonsense People at Big Couch in New Orleans. His upcoming projects include The Man in the Window (2026) and Don't Breathe a Word (2026).
