What to expect: self defense education with teaching of simple moves and techniques to close out the class.
A note from your instructor: Hey! I am Lexi Arnold, a licensed self defense and kickboxing instructor in the Charlotte/Belmont area. I have been training mixed martial arts (kickboxing, boxing, Jiu jitsu, wrestling, cage tactics) for over nine years. I have a Master's in Forensic Psychology from GCU, so knowing how offenders think and keeping possible victims safe are some areas I have always wanted to help in. I have an extreme passion for teaching self defense to women and girls because of all the craziness going on in the world today with so many cases of sex trafficking, sexual assaults, and abuse. I have been raised to know how to defend myself but still found myself in sexual assault/scary situations where I had to get out as quickly as I could. I realized that even with all my training, as women, we still need to know what to do in specific situations so that we will automatically know what to do and quickly get out! That is exactly why I teach quick and easy movements that everyone is able to learn and use.
