GoForth EV Carshare Launch at Cedar Commons, Portland

Please join Forth and Central City Concern to celebrate the launch of the GoForth EV Carshare at a ribbon-cutting event at our Cedar Commons location in Portland!

The GoForth EV Carshare service is part of a nationwide program to increase equitable access to electric transportation. GoForth is part of the Affordable Mobility Platform (AMP), a Department of Energy-funded model for offering affordable short-term use of electric vehicles to increase access to clean transportation in rural and historically underserved communities in the United States.

The launch event will provide information about the service, vehicles and charging, as well as test drives and an opportunity to sign up for the service.

Residents and staff of Cedar Commons, Crescent Court and Meridian Gardens, as well as members of the surrounding community can sign up and rent the vehicle for trips for $5/hour or $50/ day. EV charging is also available on site at no additional cost to carshare users.

Carsharing is an efficient alternative to owning a vehicle — drivers who use a carsharing system can access a car without having to pay the high costs of ownership including repairs and insurance. Electric carsharing benefits the environment and public health.
