Whether you're a newcomer or veteran to the Godly Play methodology, you are invited to a day of workshops, idea-sharing, and fun!
About this Event

We've got a wonder-filled Godly Play in-service day planned for you! If you're new to this methodology or a long-time practitioner, we hope you'll join us for education, renewal, and community building.

Our day-long agenda is packed with good things!

We'll break-out into small groups for a:

  • Godly Play Introduction & Overview - For newcomers or those who would like a refresher
  • Best Practices Exchange & Refresher - For experienced practitioners

We'll also spend time together exploring new stories and other advances at the Godly Play Foundation including: the "Beloved Me/Beloved We" project; the results of a recent equity audit; and the "Every Day Godly Play" initiative.

Materials Exchange. Bring a wish-list of the resource materials you need for your classrooms. Do you have duplicates? Bring any extra Godly Play resources that you would be willing to donate and we will host a materials exchange!

Model Classroom. Finally, we're excited to unveil our "Model Godly Play Classroom," located in the St. Nicholas building and recently transformed by an artist and volunteers into an ideal space for gathering children.

$25/person includes continental breakfast and lunch and a book with registration -- choose between:

  • Godly Play in Middle and Late Childhood, Cheryl V. Minor (2022)
  • Teaching Godly Play: How to Mentor the Spiritual Development of Children, Jerome W. Berryman (2009)

Scholarships are always available and we will reimburse round-trip mileage and tolls for carpooling. Child-care is available on request (through the registration process).

Please note that there is no elevator in the St. Nicholas Building and the event will take place on the 2nd floor. Reach out to [email protected] for accessibility options before registering.

This event represents a collaboration between the Diocese of Olympia, the Godly Play Foundation, and Saint Mark's Cathedral.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
