Do you ever wish you were in the room when magic happens? In the room for when Beethoven wrote his symphonies, when Shakespeare wrote his classics, when Cher sings anything. Well now is your chance (kinda).
I'm Luisa, I'm a comedian in the U.K who is fleeing her politically bankrupt country for the bright lights of America. The land of Dreams. I needed a place where I could meet lapsed catholics, who would enjoy the premise of a musical from a woman who's never written one and experiment in a political climate which is polarizing but closer in location proximity to Lin Manuel and Whoopi Goldberg. That's you, Chicago! Brace yourself for my female Book of Mormon. I can’t sing or play music. But I did grow up on Sister Act 1 and 2 to know a hit when I see one. This is a rough and ready idea, a pitch for a musical, and you can help me develop it! It’s all about Mary Magdalene. An epic one-woman experiment.
