GoB Con: Catan Tournament

This is a ticket for a Catan Tournament taking place at GoB Con 2024.

Don't settle for less than your best! The first annual GoB Con Catan tournament takes place Sunday July 28 at 12:30 PM.

In CATAN (formerly The Settlers of Catan), players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn dice are rolled to determine what resources the island produces. Players build by spending resources (sheep, wheat, wood, brick and ore) that are depicted by these resource cards; each land type, with the exception of the unproductive desert, produces a specific resource: hills produce brick, forests produce wood, mountains produce ore, fields produce wheat, and pastures produce sheep.

The tournament will last two rounds.

Participants will be randomly paired into groups of 3 or 4 (depending on the number of participants). The winner of each preliminary game will go on to the final.

We will follow the Catan rules as written. That means NO HOUSE RULES or the like. Some knowledge of how to play the game is recommended. Full Catan rules can be found at the link below.
