FAQ:

> Can children attend Goat Yoga?

Children 8 years or older may attend goat yoga with parental supervision.

> What do I bring?

Dress for yoga outdoors: We encourage you to dress comfortably and in athleisure wear suitable for being on a farm with farm animals.

Towels/Yoga Mat: Bring a towel or two and/or yoga mat that you do not care may get dirty.

Water: Bring a water bottle with a lid so you don’t share your drink with our baby goats.

Please do not bring snacks or food into the paddocks.

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat for your comfort.

> I’ve never tried yoga before, can I attend Goat Yoga?

Beginners are always welcome and encouraged to attend yoga classes at The Kentucky Castle. Goat Yoga is perfect for a true beginner. If you have any specific questions about postures or contraindications, please arrive 15 minutes prior to class to discuss with the instructor.

> What can I expect from a Goat Yoga class?

Class will begin promptly at 9 am. Please arrive with ample time to park, find the class on the farm and get comfortable in your spot within the paddocks. Our Farm attendant and yoga instructor will be available to answer any questions. Please know that the goats will be in a separate paddock nearby waiting for yoga class to begin. They will be brought in when class is ready so please be on time - they are ready to play and practice yoga too!

> I’ve heard during goat yoga they may use the bathroom on your yoga mat, is this true?

Yes, this is yoga with farm animals (goats) in the paddocks. There have been times that the goats may go to the bathroom near or on your mat. If this happens, we will do our best to assist you to clean it up or just shake it off your mat. With this in mind, please dress appropriately for yoga outdoors and on the farm. We encourage you to bring an older blanket or yoga mat and clothes that are appropriate for a class where you may get a little dirty.

> Can I take pictures?

Yes! There will be a little time after the class (assuming the baby goats are up for it) to take your best selfie in the paddocks with the goats and Castle in the background. And feel free to snap photos during the class. No taking baby goats outside the paddocks - their mamas will not be happy. Thank you!

> How many baby goats will be in Goat Yoga class?

We have around 14 Pygmy Nigerian cross goats and expect that around 10 (if not all) will be able to join Goat Yoga class.

> What else can I do at The Kentucky Castle?

We are so glad you asked. We offer reservations for our Hotel, Spa, and Restaurant. Feel free to check out our Experiences like Castle Tours, Farm Tours, and more animal farm fun here: https://www.thekentuckycastle.com/experiences#experiences

> Parking and accessing Goat Yoga on the Farm

There are two ways that you can access Goat Yoga on the Farm. You can either walk over from The Kentucky Castle parking lot or you can drive to The Farm entrance which is two entrances down from The Kentucky Castle entrance on Pisgah Pike.

*Walking from The Kentucky Castle to Goat Yoga on the Farm:

Park at The Kentucky Castle and take the Garden Path to the Goat Paddocks back by our white Barn (signs will be posted to guide you to class). On your walk, you will pass between our Teaching Garden and Greenhouse and head to where you can see our goats and sheep paddocked. You will go past two gates and turn left toward the white Tiny Castle View guest home.

(If inclement weather, Goat Yoga will be in the white Barn and parking is available there.)

*Driving to the Farm for Goat Yoga:

To drive over to the Farm, you will need to stay on Pisgah Pike. Instead of turning into the Castle entrance, continue on Pisgah Pike to the second entrance past the Kentucky Castle entry which is 460 Pisgah Pike. Our entrance has a white brick and black metal gate. Please pull up close to the gate and it will open for you. If not, the guest code is 0230#. As you enter, follow the directional signs and driveway around the left to the back of the white barn and you will be able to see the Castle behind you. Parking is available here and you will see signs for Goat Yoga.
