Goat Walking Experience

Your visit will start with a short introduction to the goats and learning about their individual personalities. This will be followed by a walk through a part of the beautiful nature reserve at Secret Meadows, just outside Woodbridge in rural Suffolk.

The goat walking experience is a great way to unwind and have fun, adapting to your goat’s pace and stopping every now and then for the goat to browse on hedges and grasses. Goats are intelligent creatures and love human company so after the walk there will be the opportunity to spend a bit more quality time brushing and feeding your goat and learning about this super friendly and fascinating animal!

By booking a goat walk you are helping to raise funds for wildlife charity The Sinfield Nature Conservation Trust which owns the nature reserve.

• 1 ticket is for walking with up to 2 goats for up to 4 people (max. 2 adults): £45 (£49.46 including Eventbrite fees)

D ates: Listed dates are some Saturdays through May to October plus some Wednesdays during summer holidays, subject to availability.

T ime: 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm.

Duration: 1.5 hours (including time before and after the walk to spend with your goat).

Age guidance: This activity is not suitable for children under 3 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the activity and children aged 3-8 need to share their goat with at least one accompanying adult.

What to wear/bring: Please make sure you are wearing suitable shoes which are not open-toed and we recommend that long hair is tied back (as goats love to nibble!). We recommend you pack waterproofs (just in case!) and a drink (especially in hot weather).

Other useful info: The goat walking activity goes ahead in all weathers. If there are adverse weather conditions, you have the option to spend time with your goat in our animal barn where you can brush him and feed him plus take him on a shorter walk if you want to. Rarely, a goat may not be in the mood for the full walk, and if this happens, and an alternative goat is not available, the above options also apply. We’re sure you’ll enjoy interacting with these friendly, curious creatures whatever the weather!
