Goat Shelter Building Session at Hengrove Mounds

This session is for those who are interested in helping us build a shelter for the goats that are soon to be introduced to Hengrove Mounds as part of its long term management plan. Ideally you'll be local to the area or have an interest in wanting to continue to care for this site and the goats in the future. Street Goat will be there to give their expert advice and explain more about whats needed going forward in terms of looking after the goats.

Goats like to have a sheltered area to rest in, especially when the weather is rather bad. This shelter will provide that home, that safe space for the goats to use when they need it. We will be using hand tools and power tools during this session and am not sure just how long it will take so we may be finished earlier, depending on how well it goes!

Please bring :

Snacks, Lunch & water

Sturdy shoes (steel toe capped if possible)

Suitable clothing for the weather

If it is especially poor weather we will reschedule
