About this Event
GO! Play, Improv, and The Inner Child
Improv isn’t about being funny – it’s an approach to playing, connecting with others, and making discoveries. In this free, 2-hour workshop, we’ll awaken our sense of play through fun and approachable games & techniques borrowed from the worlds of improvisation and clowning.
We will first warm-up with gentle games and general silliness, then get stuck in to some collaborative fun with improv and physical theatre. Focusing on the key principles of improvisation – listening, saying yes, and freeing our instincts – we will find ourselves in a playground where mistakes aren’t real, plans can’t exist, and the most important thing is the game. Arrive prepared for physical movement, ferocious laughter, and happy accidents. No experience necessary but your own.
Free but ticketed.
