Nic TVG runs a label called Pinecone Moonshine. It's a collection of Drumfunk (drum and bass) and other abstract and ambient music. Majority of the tracks are melancholy collages of noise, heavily processed samples, and atmospherics driven by broken break beats and heavy sub. Born in the Portland Oregon metro, Matt knew music was going to be an important part of his life at an early age. Growing up in a family of singers he was surrounded by musical influences from the day he was born. In his teenage years he discovered bands like Metallica, Nirvana, System of a Down, Rage against the Machine and Tool which shaped his later musical tastes and theories. In the early 2000's he would be introduced to drum and bass and the rest is history. His musical tastes remain broad and eclectic whether inside or outside the dance music space. Known for his melodic and haunting liquid drum and bass, he occasionally ventures into banging melodic breakbeats and big bassy house. Despite spending much of his early life in Portland Oregon he came up DJ’ing in the Houston Texas rave scene. Many of the early 2000’s trance and drum and bass luminaries of the South East Texas party scene shaped the drum and bass sound he brings today. Now back in the Pacific Northwest to raise a family, he offers an experienced and keen ear to get a crowd dancing and singing with smooth, melodic mixes.
