Gnosis ANC is proud to present the Anchorage return of Sonant (Josh D) as we meet once again for another night of deep, forward-thinking dnb and jungle vibes!
Sonant cofounded Gnosis DnB in Portland, Oregon with Believe, and is a fixture in the Portland DnB community. Over some twenty years he has worked with other dnb nights such as Crush DnB, and Proper Movement–which he also helped get started. He was also an early AK DnB pioneer–(sometimes playing B2B vinyl sets with Believe)– and rinsin' it out at places like Club @ and the Alano Club, and in addition ran a weekly vinyl session at the former SubZero. Joshua Sonant brings over 2 decades of experience behind the decks, and has played at internationally renowned dnb nights such as DnB Tuesdays, and Juice, and in addition he has opened for countless dnb headliners, and luminaries. Please help us give him a warm Alaska welcome as he makes his first appearance at the Anchorage chapter of Gnosis!!
With local support from DJ Devious (aka Dan Church), Oscillax, Dat Kid Shawn, and Believe, this is a night not to be missed!

Gnosis was originally founded in beautiful Portland, Oregon and is still going strong in the Rose City. We're proud and excited to bring some of the Gnosis vibe to Anchortown–and Alaska–as we explore the sounds of DnB and pursue "a meditative state achieved through music of 160 bpm and beyond."

Josh D (Sonant) has been working for DnB in Portland since 2007 as part of Crush DnB, Proper Movement, Kitchen Productions, Rose City Underground, and now Gnosis DnB, (which he cofounded with Believe). He is known for his precise mixing, and intelligent, future-leaning and liquid-inspired tunes that get things moving. Before relocating to the Rose City he was a regular at parties and club nights in Anchorage playing vinyl (often b2b with Believe) at venues like Club @, and the Alamo, as well as SubZero, where Josh D and Believe hosted a weekly liquid dnb night. We're beyond excited to have the man back in Anchortown after nearly 20 years, for his first appearance at the Anchorage chapter of Gnosis! Expect big things this one's gonna be one for the books!

A regular on the decks and the Anchorage scene, Datkidshawn is known for his banging dubstep and wicked 140 biz sets...we are always stoked to hear what he has on the dnb tip and to have him for the return of Sonant! DKS killed it at the Gnosis ANC launch party, and Spenard Boiler Room 11, and we cant to hear what he has in store for us this time around! BELIEVE:
Believe has been playing deep and inspired DnB for over two decades. In addition to his reputation for dropping choice cuts and soulful rollers, he is recognized for his formidable emcee skills. He has also been a part of Portland nights and crews such as Proper Movement, Kitchen Productions, and now Gnosis DnB, and has played at various events and parties from Alaska to Oakland, and beyond.
