ATTENTION HEALTHCARE Businesses/Organizations! JOIN US for this 2-Part Expo and Job Fair on Friday, April 26th!!Our GNACC Healthcare Careers Expo will connect healthcare employers with students (Grades 9-12) in the morning session AND ADULT job seekers in the afternoon session.
This two-part event will feature a morning session that connects ~150 students and healthcare employers to raise awareness and create excitement around the broad career opportunities available in healthcare. In the afternoon, the event will transition to a healthcare job fair open to adult job seekers throughout the greater Norwich area and beyond.
The morning event activities for students include attending workshops to earn credentials (CPR and Stop the Bleed), touring an employer exhibit hall, and engage in structured “a day in the life” learning conversations with healthcare professionals.
The afternoon will be a traditional job fair format. Job Seekers are asked to bring resumes and be prepared for applications and interviews. There will also be resources available for underqualified individuals to be immediately referred to entry-level healthcare training programs.
Promote Your Brand & Design Your Table
Provide age-appropriate “swag” that will be attractive to young people.
Think about sending two “teams” of employees. Consider bringing outgoing and energetic employees to engage with students in the morning. If you have staff that recently graduated high school this may be a good opportunity to showcase their path to a career with your company. For the afternoon job fair, send your Human Resources/Recruiting employees to conduct on-the-spot interviews.
Create an attractive table setup that exhibits your company’s unique personality. Your table should be a representation of your company and its brand. (Six-foot tables will be provided).
