GMG: Toward a Resources Futures Lab - In-Person Workshop

GMG will host a strategic session focused on the launch of the Resources Futures Lab, a new GMG initiative designed to align with our mission of enhancing innovation, collaboration, and sustainability across the mining industry. The Resources Futures Lab will be a global centre of excellence, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and researchers to develop practical, forward-looking solutions that address the challenges and opportunities ahead. It will act as a sandbox for the broad mining community to explore ideas and concepts. This initiative will support GMG’s commitment to creating guidelines, white papers, and frameworks that drive technological advancements, sustainable practices, and future-ready strategies for the global mining sector.

In this strategy session, participants will:

• Define the vision and goals for the Resources Futures Lab, ensuring alignment with GMG’s purpose and the industry's long-term needs.
• Identify key areas of focus for the lab, such as emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and innovative resource management.
• Identify partnerships and collaborative frameworks that will drive the lab’s success and impact across the global mining community.
