About this Event
Rome, an aspiring Toronto rapper, has the talent but is crippled by insecurity. After his album's only copy is stolen just hours before he can meet megastar producer Richie Hill, Rome and his friend Jenaya race across the city to reconstruct the record and seize his one shot. Set against Toronto's vibrant music scene, the film "finds its strength in those within the community who believe in you when you might not always believe in yourself" (Cinema Axis). Runtime 1 hour, 34 minutes. The film will be introduced by three librarians from the NC State University Libraries, Greg Tourino, Alex Valencia and Gabriel Graña.
The Global Film Series is a collaboration between the NC State University Libraries and NC State’s Office of Global Engagement.
