About this Event
Welcome to Global EmpowerHER: Uniting for Empowerment and Equality! Join us at the Strangers’ Function Room (NSW Parliament House) Global EmpowerHER : Uniting for Empowerment and Equality - Celebrating & supporting Women’s Empowerment across Borders
This event promises to be an inspiring celebration of women's empowerment, highlighting the collaboration between IWE (Indian Women Empower) and the Women's State Commission from Haryana, India. Hosted by the Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC), this event underscores our commitment to accelerating gender equality and empowering women globally. Since 1996, CMRC has been a frontrunner in supporting migrants, with Indian Women Empower focusing on aiding women from the Indian Diaspora through challenges like domestic violence and striving for financial independence. The event will feature a series of enlightening talks, including a keynote on the importance of international partnerships for women's rights, a panel discussion with representatives from both partnering organizations, and inspirational success stories from empowered women. Esteemed speakers like Mrs. Renu Bhatia, Melissa Monterio among others, will share their insights and experiences.
We expect an evening filled with meaningful dialogues, networking opportunities, and collaborations across key organisations and stakeholders aimed at fostering gender equality across borders. This celebration is a testament to the power of unity in making strides towards a more equitable world for women everywhere.
