We acknowledge that this event takes place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. We also acknowledge the incredible resilience of Indigenous peoples in the face of centuries of trauma caused by colonization, genocide, and ongoing racism. We encourage our audience members to commit to decolonization practices.
