Learn to fence with a beginner course from Roaring Fork Fencers Club. Join us for a 5 week course from 415-515 pm on Wednesdays starting September 7. We meet in the Community Art Center at 601 E 6th St.All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. Ages 7-18 welcome, split by age when appropriate. Cost is $75 for the course with some assistance available. Coaches are SafeSport trained and background screened.
Over 5 weeks students will learn the basics of fencing footwork, bladework, tactics, and rules. Be prepared to engage both your body and mind as you take your first step into this exciting Olympic sport. After completing the beginner course, students are invited to continue to our competitive class, aka our open practices.
Instruction is by Coach Greg Domashovetz. Coach Greg has been fencing since 2004 with experience at the collegiate and national level. Coach Greg is also a national referee with multiple selections to NCAA Championships and several seasons of international experience.
