Glazer's Anniversary: Landscapes from Capture to Print with Shane Srogi

This workshop is designed to empower landscape photographers by exploring essential creative options that will elevate their work and help their photographs tell a story. Every image springs forth from a series of deliberate decisions, starting with your lens choice and culminating in the paper on which you print.

We will delve into editing techniques in Lightroom, including:

- Mastering exposure adjustments

- Utilizing HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging

- Crafting stunning panoramic photos

- Combining HDR with panorama techniques

- Deciding between color and black-and-white options

- Exercising localized control of white balance

- Executing precise adjustments from global to local exposure

Our goal is clear: to equip you with the skills to tell compelling stories through your photographs and to overcome any self-imposed obstacles in your post-processing workflow.

ABOUT INSTRUCTOR: Shane Srogi

Shane Srogi teaches for Nikon and has delivered talks and workshops since returning to the Pacific Northwest. He is currently on the faculty at Maine Media Workshops. Before that, he was a full-time staff instructor at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre for a decade, earning the nickname the Swiss army knife of photography.

In 2021, Shane embarked on a 12,000-mile cross-country road trip, photographing America's Wildlands. This journey significantly evolved his perspective on landscape photography, leading him to believe that to truly represent nature, a photographer must slow down to match the rhythm of life. The trip yielded many opportunities, including photographing the last 747 in production for Boeing, as well as concerts featuring Kool & the Gang and Daughtry.

Also, covering one of the worst fire seasons on record, he signed with Zuma Press, marking a return to conservation photojournalism. His work is regularly published in various outlets worldwide, including the Guardian UK, the WSJ, The Times, il Post, and Deutsche Welle Multimedia.
