This workshop will be concentrated in how to create a glass work of art that creates linear patterns using this 1mm glass rods and ribbons We will be using transparent and opal colors in the plate form. However, you can use this in any color variation that you want.
You will have a 4"x4" glass Plate. You will learn how to cut glass into stingers and rods, including the chemistry of glass, firing temperatures and how glass behaves under heat. This is a one day class with pick up of projects at a later date due to firing the glass in the kiln takes 50 hours total. This workshop is for beginners who have never worked with glass before.
