If you love glass and would like to design and create few pieces of your own unique jewellery, then this class is for you. You don’t need any prior skills or knowledge, just imagination and creativity.We will use colourful glass, which incorporates metals and is perfect for making sparkling jewellery, and both a microwave and a larger glass kiln.
In this workshop you will learn:
• the basics of fusing glass
• how to cut and layer glass in preparation for fusing
• how to fuse glass in a kiln
• post-fusing processing, such as grinding and polishing
• how to attach jewellery findings to glass
At the end of the workshop you should be able to take home a finished pendant (or two) and a pair of earrings (or two) of your own design. You are welcome to bring your own ideas or follow a pre-designed project. The skills that you will learn will help you start making glass jewellery at home or in a studio setting. Tools, and materials will be provided. Beginners welcome!
The class is limited to three people and costs £55 per person (materials included) with £20 deposit paid upon booking.
