This event is being held at Flamingo Gardens from Feb 24th, 2025 - Sept 6th, 2025.
Glass in Flight and the sequels, Glass in Flight 2 and Glass in Flight Limited, are traveling art and science exhibits totaling 67 steel and Dalle de Verre sculptures of gigantic, realistic insects. Created by nationally known sculptor, Alex Heveri, each piece captures the essence of flight. Sunlight through the colored glass mimics the transparency and iridescence of insect wings, intensifying the illusion of movement and life.
All 3 exhibits are being booked into some of America's premier public gardens, zoos and museums.
