Glass Coaster & Cocktail Swizzler Workshop - Afternoon

Fused glass artist and tutor Kate from Twice Fired's studio will introduce you to the wonderful world of creative glass in this two-hour workshop, which results in you creating a unique glass coaster and gin/cocktail stirrer set. You will be shown how to use frits, stringers and confetti, to add pattern and detail to your pieces.This is a hands-on workshop where no previous experience is necessary.

Explore the fascinating world of glass and experiment with a variety of techniques and materials. Kate will carefully and supportively guide you through the session.

At the end of the session your pieces are taken away for firing and will be returned to the Gallery for you to collect around 10-14 days after the workshop (just enough time to get in the drinks so you can put your lovely new coaster and stirrer set to the test!).Cost includes all materials and equipment.

Skill Level: Suitable for beginners but also a lovely new challenge for those who have worked with fused glass before.

With a zero-waste policy, Twice Fired uses every single bit of glass that enters the studio, turning what others may throw away into something special. From the large sheets cut down, every bit is kept and used. The waste glass is hand-cut and fused into frit balls with these beautiful spheres of loveliness used on future pieces of work. Nothing is wasted and everything gained.
