About this Event
As part of Glasgow850, throughout 2025, the Mitchell Library, in partnership with The Alexander Thomson Society, is staging a programme of free talks, films and exhibitions reflecting 850 years of the city’s history.
On 18 January, in conjunction with the 2025 St Mungo’s Festival, writer Dominic d’Angelo looks at the complex relationship between Church, State and town from the 12th century through to the Reformation and some of its lasting impacts.
Dominic d'Angelo is Chair of The Alexander Thomson Society, having worked in international development in Iraq, India and Afghanistan. He publishes weekly online articles on aspects of Thomson's life and work.
