THE 70S GLAM ROCK TRIBUTE BAND
Emerging from the vibrant, colorful ashes of the 1960s hippy and flower-power era, Glam Rock became a dazzling new sound and style. Pioneers like Marc Bolan and David Bowie led the charge, paving the way for iconic acts such as The Sweet, Roxy Music, Suzi Quatro, Alvin Stardust, Mott the Hoople, Gary Glitter, and The Glitter Band. These trailblazers were joined by a host of others, from chart-topping bands to unforgettable one-hit wonders.
Even rock 'n' roll-inspired groups like Mud, Showaddywaddy, and Racey found themselves swept into the Glam Rock movement, blending their retro influences with the genre's bold, flamboyant aesthetics. Meanwhile, Slade transitioned from their rugged skinhead style to embrace Glam’s glittering fashion, with guitarist Dave Hill famously sporting ever-more extravagant outfits that epitomized the era’s dazzling excess.
From this rich tapestry of musical and cultural influences comes Glam45—a band dedicated to recreating the authentic magic of 1970s Glam Rock.
