Voices of Silicon Valley will present a program celebrating their 10th Anniversary with exciting film and video game soundtracks - Gladiator, Portal 2 and Genshin Impact. Also on the program is a new work by Korean American composer Peter Shin "Bits Torn from Words". This Grammy award winning composition addresses important aspects of mental health and healing found through the elements of Korean culture. This program will also include a choral masterpiece by Arnold Schonberg Friede auf Erden, and a new work for piano by Grawemeyer award winner Lei Liang, a Chinese American composer whose work centers around the sounds of nature recorded deep down in the ocean; as well as a premiere of a commissioned piece by composer Alexander Frank, pioneering a new approach to vocal texture by using text written by ChatGPT
