The number of authoritarian regimes around the world is growing at an alarming rate.
We see that authoritarian leaders resort to the same methods and tools to restrict basic human rights - it almost seems like they have a common WhatsApp-group!
Students are often the first to speak up against injustice, but their courage comes at a high prize. Student activists experience harassment, violence, and arbitrary arrests.
Why are dictators so afraid of students? And what can be done to protect student activists?
