SEASON PREMIERE for Jazz@Park Lane - The newest and coolest jazz venue in Göteborg! Right at the cultural ground zero at Götaplatsen beside the city theater, museum, concert hall et c on Kungsportsavenyn 38. The famous night club "Park Lane" in collaboration with Wauxhall Jazz and Göteborg Jazz Orchestra sets a new standard for jazz in Göteborg.
A match made in heaven - straight from the Kulturkalaset right into GJO's new premiere comes the fantastic artist Maxida Märak. It will be an exciting meeting between jazz & folk music together with Maxida's unique mix with influences from the indigenous jojk together with hip-hop/R&B. A very special evening that will appeal to both jazz audiences as well as Maxida's fans and all the curious! So worthy for the new premiere for Jazz@Park Lane and as the end of the Kulturkalaset!
As Maxida puts it, “So wonderful! I'm a folk music geek and a big admirer of jazz - I'm sure that this will be incredible! It will also be so much fun to hear a couple of my songs in big band arrangement"

MAXIDA MÄRAK is one of Sweden’s most unique and tone-setting artists today. With jojk as fuel, she mixes pop, hip-hop and R&B and creates something that sounds like nothing else. Always with a message where Sápmi is the norm. Maxida has appeared in TV's "Så mycket bättre " and "Jill's Veranda", she has hosted the Grammy Awards, was an interlude in Melodifestivalen and guested Allsång at Skansen.
GÖTEBORG JAZZ ORCHESTRA is one of the most exciting movements in Swedish jazz. The big band has made a rocket career and in a short time established on the highest level. In their love to music they always look for new expressions and they attract collaborations with the best musicians - domestic and abroad. They often reach over the genre barriers with new formats.
