LINA NYBERG fell in love with Brazilian music as young. One of Sweden’s most creative and innovative jazz singers and composers attracting attention in Scandinavia and worldwide. RUBEM FARIAS - a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, music producer, teacher and entrepreneur. Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and living in Stockholm, Sweden, since 2015, Rubem Farias is hailed as one of today's foremost bass players. His impressive collaborations include performances with jazz legends such as Ulf Wakenius, Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Robben Ford, Nils Landgren, Magnus Lindgren among others.
Rubem is the leader of the Brazilian Jazz International Institute and will have a workshop with young talents in Göteborg in collaboration with GJO:s own Jazz Academy. We will see the result as an opening act tonight. So important and fun!
TOBIAS GRIM
One of the country's most exciting guitarists. Lira wrote about Tobias' debut record Brazil Lines: "Very free-handed and inspired guitar playing...impressively solid. Wonderful music.”
World music report wrote: "...his lines are like elaborate, bejewelled necklaces that adorn the vocalist... Mr. Grim has a special brand of poetic intensity. How thoroughly refreshing it is to also experience his profound talent."
KELLY D'RIO
Carioca from the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro. Her heart beats to the sound of Samba, Soul, MPB, and this year, get ready for Forró's vibrations! Fantastic singer and also dancer who will test both during the evening.
FÖRENINGEN BRASIL SVERIGE
Meet Clara Neto, president of the association Brasil Sweden. She has devoted 17 years to the Brazilian community in Gothenburg and run projects to promote the Portuguese language in Sweden, such as "Curtindo a Língua Portuguesa na Suécia" and "As Jornadas Pedagógicas de Língua Portuguesa na Escandinávia".
MESTRE TUBARAO
With more than 43 years dedicated to capoeira, and with a book released on the subject, Mestre Tubarão will give us the essence of this sport that mixes art, dance and above all resistance, so present in Brazilian culture. Also founder and driving Brazilian Day Gothenburg!

GÖTEBORG JAZZ ORCHESTRA is one of the most exciting movements in Swedish jazz. The big band has made a rocket career and in a short time established on the highest level. In their love to music they always look for new expressions and they attract collaborations with the best musicians - domestic and abroad. They often reach over the genre barriers with new formats.
