Giving Honors Celebration

The Giving of Honors Birthday Celebration is a humble tribute to Shaykh Ra Saadi El/ Chief of Ministers and Supreme Grand Sheik of The Moorish Science Temple of America-1928. There have been countless celebrations honoring our beloved Shaykh Ra Saadi El, which was presented as a grand affair. Shaykh Ra Saadi El requested that we keep the celebration intimate only with family and friends; it has been a challenge to keep the guest number under 30.

The event will be a NO-HOST dinner, meaning you are fully responsible for the cost of your meal. A link to the restaurant menu below is to introduce you to Morrocan West African food and the related costs. You are welcome to forward the cost of your dinner selection with an added 10% gratuity to us, as this will allow you to avoid waiting to pay for your meal upon leaving.

The Desert will be covered with a special cake baked in honor of the celebration by Sis. Asia Mohammed Bey, owner of Fancy Things Bakery.

Slowing Down Too Fast: Special Holyday Dinner Service in Celebration of Our Moorish American Ramadan on Sept 30th, 20222, @ 7 PM EST.

Attendance is free, and seating is limited; an RSVP is required to reserve your seat. The Holyday service will mark the 1st day of our Holy Ramadan Mubarak. The Khutbah will be a message of faithful endurance and how to turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones that are represented by faith, hope, and love.

The Sisters Auxiliary Circle of Islam is hosting the First Day of Ramadan Dinner. We will open with our traditional Moorish Lental Bean Soup to mark the beginning of Our Holy Month of October. Dinner will be served 30 minutes before the opening of Holyday Service.
