The Experience

BLU Jazz+ is a stunning live music venue and photography gallery located in the heart of downtown Akron. Designed specifically for live jazz, the space blends a retro, mid-century modern aesthetic with the intimate feel of classic New York City jazz clubs while offering the style and sophistication of a modern venue.

Expect a cozy, upscale atmosphere perfect for unwinding, connecting, and enjoying incredible live music.

Featuring: OHM — Dan Bruce Trio

Dan Bruce (guitar), Jordan McBride (bass), and Gabe Jones (drums) are OHM. The trio features high-energy original improvised music and unique arrangements of their favorite tunes, all set to forceful and distinctive grooves.

Dan Bruce is a nationally recognized guitarist, composer, and educator who developed his voice in Chicago’s jazz scene. He has performed at top venues including The Green Mill, The Jazz Showcase, and Millennium Park, and has collaborated with acclaimed musicians across the country. His sound blends tradition with a modern edge, creating a performance that is both refined and engaging.
