About this Event
Now is the time to explore your passions in STEM! Did you know that STEM Careers help others and make the world a better place?
Participants in the event will get structured classroom time participating in hands-on activities alongside an expo with local companies to learn more about careers in STEM. The expo will be an opportunity to meet and learn from women professionals in a variety of STEM careers. 2023's expo included female professionals from from Northwestern Mutual, Milwaukee Tool, Generac, Associated Bank, and the MSOE Society of Women Engineers & Actuarial Science Club.
4th - 5th grade students will explore the engineering design process by creating/building solutions to different challenges. 6th - 9th grade students will participate in robotics & coding activities and leave the day with new ideas and goals for their future.
While this event does have an expo component, it is not a drop-in format and attendees should plan to stay for the full duration of the event.
Girl Scouts who attend this event will have completed their STEM Careers Badge by the end of the event.
This event is open to any student who identifies as female in grades 4 - 9.
