Girls in Aviation Day 2026 - LeTourneau University

This come & go event shares aviation with girls ages 8-17, along with families/teachers/scout leaders! Boys are welcome to attend too!
About this Event

Planned events include:

• Career panel with multiple female aviation professionals (career panel session suggested for ages 12+ and is planned for 10:30-11:15)
• Hands-on lab project working with sheet metal
• Phonetic alphabet art projects
• Learn airplane controls and preflight a real airplane
• Use tools to practice disassembling/assembling aircraft components

• Airplane, helicopter, and engine scavenger hunt
• Weather exploration lab
• Fly a flight simulator (space permitting)
• Tours of the Abbott Aviation Center facility and opportunities to learn about Dual Credit courses & scholarships
• Meet a female pilot and learn about flying
• Plus more!
