We are excited to conduct our 10th annual Girls Giving Back event this year. We will continue our partnership with "A Kid's Place" helping foster girls and boys by providing Shoe Box gifts filled with fun holiday presents & stocking stuffer items. Here's how it works. Once you register your daughter, about 10 days before the event, you'll receive an email with the name of a child your daughter will create this Shoe Box gift for. Below is a list of ideas of some gift items for your shoe box but you can do your own thing and get creative. You'll need to bring the "unwrapped" box with the gift items in it on the day of the event.
Gift Items may include:
• Candy
• $ Store items
• Toys
• Socks
• Toiletry Items
• Clothes
• Books
• Coloring or Activity Books
• Sports Items
• Gift Cards
• Bible or Faith-based items
• Inexpensive costume jewelry
• Make-up, nail polish, etc.
• Any other items you'd like to purchase
Activities we will do with the girls during the Girls Giving Back event include:
• A short lesson on the importance of "Giving Back" to those in need
• Creating a card/letter to place in the box
• Making Christmas Tree ornaments for themselves and to place in the shoe box
• Decorating the outside of the shoe box with rhinestones, stickers, markers, glitter and anything we can find to make it look beautiful
• A fun, creative craft for the girls to take home
• Decorating cookies or cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles to enjoy while listening to Holiday music
• Karaoke to Christmas Carols
Girls Giving Back is a wonderful tradition that many girls have participated in year after year. We hope your girls will join us on Friday, December 10th!
