G.I.R.L.S. Conference 2026
About this Event
CELEBRATING 12 YEARS!
Eastlake High School's robotics team, TitanBot, is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team run entirely by students. As part of our team’s community outreach, we organize and host an annual Girls Inspiring Real Leadership in STEAM (G.I.R.L.S.) Conference; in recent years have held it in conjunction with our school’s Society of Women Engineering Next (SWENext) club. You can learn more about TitanBot here.
In celebration of our 12th annual conference, this year's theme is "Her Vision, Our Future". We hope to inspire young people to take control of their future and find the right path for them in a healthy environment. Presentations will be given by professionals and students in various scientific and engineering fields, as well as a panel discussion to ask questions regarding their experience as women in STEAM. Networking opportunities will be available, offering an array of professionals from engineering organizations to help students work on their leadership skills in order to inspire youth to become the leaders of tomorrow. The ultimate goal of our conference is to provide our attendees with the skills, resources, and confidence they need to pursue STEAM careers, fulfill their passions, and make a difference.
This event will be held in a hybrid format, meaning we will have in-person attendance at our venue, but online attendance will also be available via a livestream on YouTube for your convenience. We will provide online access soon as the event approaches/ The event will be held Saturday, September 19th at Eastlake Middle School’s Pavilion. We highly recommend attending the in-person event as interactive games, raffles, prizes, and a free networking lunch will be available! Note: You only need to reserve a ticket if you are attending the in-person event.
