Girls and STEAM is a free event that gives girls–aged 12-14–opportunities to learn about STEAM topics from experts and mentors.

The Girls and STEAM Summit is back in-person.

Calling all girls ages 12-14! If you're curious about the dynamic world of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & design, and math), then the Girls and STEAM Summit is the place for you!

Join us on Saturday, November 5th for a free, action-packed day of workshops, hands-on activities, sessions with STEAM mentors, a showcase, and an amazing keynote presentation.

While the terms “women” and “girls” are used in our event, we invite participants and mentors who identify as women, girls, trans, genderqueer, non-binary, two-spirit, and gender questioning.

What can I expect on the day of the event?

• The Summit will run from 8am-3:30pm

• All attendees will receive a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks

• During the showcase (which will run from 9:30am–5pm), women in STEAM roles will engage girls in exciting hands-on activities

• After the event attendees will take home Girls and STEAM swag and accessories

How can I register?

*If you are using the Eventbrite app, the event will show "Sold out!". The event is not sold out, you can still register for the lottery, just tap the "Details" button to join the waitlist*

This year, registration will be done using a lottery system to ensure that that the process is fair and equitable for all attendees.

When you click register, you will be prompted to join the waitlist; you will be added to a list of potential attendees from which we will randomly select 300 girls. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a spot at the event.

If you’re entering multiple children, please add one entry for each child. (Please use your name and email address–the child’s information will be collected later.)

If selected, you will receive an email from Eventbrite inviting you to claim your spot and complete registration. This must be completed for each child who is selected to register.

Science World will be open to the public on the day of the Summit with higher than usual attendance to be expected.

Photographers and media will be present at the event, but attendees can indicate on their registration form if they do not consent to Science World taking photos or videos of them during the event.
