About the Workshops

Two dynamic workshops led by local STEAM organizations will guide you through the boundless possibilities that exist. Passionate professionals will answer your questions about the exciting and diverse world of STEAM.

Workshop information coming soon!

  • Workshop #1: Science World Team
    Gardener Vs. Robot
In this hands-on workshop, students use the scientific method to compare traditional gardening with robotic cultivation using Science World’s Farm.bot. After touring the garden beds, groups will form hypotheses and conduct soil and plant health tests to see which method produces a more thriving garden. The session concludes with a collaborative data analysis to discuss the complexities of automated gardening and inspire future robotic innovations.
  • Workshop #2: City of Vancouver
Eco Explorers: Mapping a Living Wetland
What can a wetland tell us about water, wildlife, and the health of our environment? In this interactive workshop, you'll use observation, mapping, and scientific investigation to explore a wetland firsthand. Work together, you’ll collect data, identify patterns, and uncover how wetlands help create resilient and sustainable communities.
