Girl-tivities is hosting a women's self defense class with True Athletics to encourage safety and awareness for danger.About this event:
We can't wait to have you join us for our first Self Defense class taught at True Atheltics in Phoenix. We are excited to bring the strength and knowledge to our women community to help us in any dangerous and uncomfortable experience we may experience as a female. This event is very limited so get your ticket quickly before we sell out!
-There is no prior experience necessary.
-We will help develop basic skills and awareness by teaching simple movements.
-Students will be taught how to strike with upper body movements and will practice on targets and working through motions with other students in the class.
-We will cover the power of using your voice, basic strikes to protect ourselves and releases from a wrist grab and a chokehold.
Agenda:
10 am - check in, recieve goodie bags and time to socialize with event attendees
10:30pm-12pm - self defense class
With your admission you will receive :
-Empowerment through women community and learning the power of your voice and strength
-Hands on instruction for 1.5 hours from a certified martial arts instructor bringing us through a range of activities and topics for self defense scenarios.
-Take home self defense tools such as in your goodie bag!
-A custom Girl-tivities Sticker
-Photobooth sponsored by @pictureperfect.az
-Photos from the event from our event photographer
-Girl-tivities styled goodie bag with fun surprises (as always)
-A chance to meet new girl friends in a safe, non-judgemental environment to come alone + socialize (& try something new if you haven't before!) PLUS being welcomed into a community -- you are not just coming to another class/activitity alone... you're apart of a family now!
-An invite to our private group where members of events can chat, make carpooling plans + have a community outside of our events.

If you didn't come to our last events and aren't familiar... Girl-tivities (formerly known as Girls Night Out) is a social event company that plans monthly themed events for women in Arizona to meet new women and do new things. Each month we host a different theme and location while partnering up with businesses. We do a variety of themes - fitness, social, crafts, and inspirational events. This is a friendly and comfortable environment to come alone or bring friends if you'd like! All that we ask is you leave your boyfriends or husbands home for the night (; ( hence the name Girl-tivities, it is women only .)
The best way to attend an event of ours (and the cheapest option) is joining as a member! We would love to have you apart of our community and you would recieve a free or discounted ticket to all our our ticketed events + invites to our members only meetups monthly.
What to bring:
Atheletic clothing / comfy clothing to move in.
