San Antonio's Girl In A Coma have left a permanent tattoo on the hearts of music lovers with their piercing songs and nuclear performances. They've blazed a singular trail since Nina Diaz joined the band at age 13 and have found champions and comrades along the way including Joan Jett who signed them, Morrissey, Sia, Tegan and Sara, The Pogues and Amanda Palmer who have hand selected them for tours. In addition, Robert Rodriguez asked them to compose one of the key songs for his film Machete. All the while, they have been building one of the most impassioned and diverse fan bases in music. Girl in a Coma are that rare feral band, unaffected by trends, that has managed to stay wild and thrill us at every turn.
Spit Takes is a gritty and melodic American punk band formed in 2022. The band is Vanessa McKinney (vocals), Monet Wong (guitar), Angie Lynch (Bass), Charles Gehr (Drums). Spit Takes deliver a fierce and infectious sound with raw, unapologetic lyrics & thick guitar riffs. Influences range from Amyl and the Sniffers & X-Ray Spex to Bikini K*ll & The Slits.
Surly Grrly is a Minneapolis-based queercore protest band that likes to have fun while loudly fucking the patriarchy. Their live shows are filled with rage, passion, and politically-driven lyrics addressing bigotry, queerness, and misogyny. With a satisfyingly raw 80's garage punk sound, Surly Grrly uses catchy hooks and tempo changes to rile up a crowd, mixing originals with a variety of bombastic covers
