De futuristische muziek van Gary Shepherd vormt de filmische leidraad, thereminist Dorit Chrysler is ceremoniemeester en de twaalf zangers van Consensus Vocalis herinneren met Lacrimosa van Mozart aan een verloren tijdperk. Afscheid nemen doet pijn, maar
als we dingen loslaten ontstaat er ruimte
voor nieuwe perspectieven en onverwachte schoonheid.
In dit eerste deel van de trilogie Rituals of Transformation komt een einde aan de filosofie van de constante groei en gaat de mens ten onder aan zijn eigen overproductie. Alleen de Ginkgo-boom, de Japanse notenboom die zelfs de kernexplosie in Hiroshima wist te doorstaan, blijft bestaan.

Experience 'GINKGO or: 56 million years ago there were palm trees on the North Pole' on 25 and 26 May during O. A performance in collaboration with thereminist Dorit Chrysler and choir Consensus Vocalis, about the end of the world as we know it.
Gary Shepherd’s futuristic music compositions form the cinematic guideline, thereminist Dorit Chrysler is master of ceremony, and the twelve singers of Consensus Vocalis recall a lost era with Mozart’s Lacrimosa. Saying goodbye hurts, but when we let things go, there is space for new perspectives and unexpected beauty.
In this first part of the Rituals of Transformation trilogy, the philosophy of constant growth comes to an end and man perishes due to his own overproduction. Only the Ginkgo tree, the Japanese walnut tree that survived even the nuclear explosion in Hiroshima, remains.
