A brand-new holiday tradition is coming to Sumter!
This December, join Sumter Habitat for Humanity for an unforgettable evening celebrating the season while helping build safe, affordable homes for families in our community.
Starting with a Gingerbread House Contest
Do you have what it takes to create Sumter's most spectacular gingerbread house?
-REGISTRATION opens September 1 and includes the house kit to use for the contest. $30 registration fee.
-House Kit Pickup Begins: November 17
-Bring your completed creation back to compete for prizes, community bragging rights, and the title of one of Sumter's best gingerbread builders!
-Contest winners will be announced during the Gingerbread Gala on December 8!

The Hive at Lavender Estates
December 8 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Tickets: $60 per person. On sale September 1!
Dress in your favorite holiday cocktail attire and enjoy an evening filled with:
-Beautiful gingerbread house displays
-Dancing
- Delicious appetizers
-Holiday-inspired fun and surprises
- Gingerbread contest awards
-A meaningful opportunity to support affordable homeownership in Sumter
Every ticket, every contest entry, and every donation helps Sumter Habitat for Humanity build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership for local families.
