The Gingerbread Adventure is our healthy holiday alternative — a free, family evening designed to spark creativity, courage, and connection.
On December 5th, families will gather for an evening unlike any other holiday event in St. Louis.

The Gingerbread Adventure transforms a classic tradition into an experience that develops leadership, creativity, and kindness. Families will journey through themed zones—each one blending play, story, and courage.

Adventure Zones
1) Gingerbread Leadership Challenge (limited to 25 families – $30 add-on) Run by Agape
Decorate a pre-baked gluten- and dairy-free gingerbread house with natural, wholesome toppings like dried edible flowers, seeds, and coconut flakes.
Judged on creativity, teamwork, courage, and festive spirit.
All proceeds benefit Agape Adventure Academy.

2) Adventure Play Corner: Run by Adventures of Intrigue
Carry gifts, crawl under candy-cane tunnels, balance, laugh, and race — building courage through movement.
3)Christmas Craft Corner (Looking for sponsor)
Make snowflake mosaics.
4)Story & Song Station (Looking for sponsor)
Carols and stories told by lantern light — asking, “How could the Gingerbread Man have been a better friend or leader?”
5)Nature Craft Zone (Skystone Conservatory Arts and facilitated by Kelsey W.)
Create pine-cone bird feeders, seed ornaments, and cinnamon-stick bundles.
****Skystone Conservatory Arts will also be hosting a raffle for four tickets to their Endless Forest Nutcracker: The play is about the main character, Clara, choosing to be brave and follow her heart! It’s on December 20th.

6) Leadership Wall + Games (Looking for sponsor)
Decorate your own gingerbread-man cutout with your name and one “leader quality.”
Join the “Pass the Gingy” game — share a time you showed courage or kindness!
7)Healthy Snack Zone (Looking for sponsor)
Sample “Reindeer Chow” trail mix, fruit kabobs, and cocoa made with clean ingredients — a reminder that celebration can be joyful and wholesome.

Before Christmas season, our young leaders have been handcrafting gifts that reflect courage, creativity, and care.
