Gilded Cages - An Old Hollywood Vampire: the Masquerade LARP

Set in Los Angeles during the 1930s, Gilded Cages is a LARP where players will take on the roles of both humans and vampires at a release party for a new film. Anyone who's anyone in the film industry will be there. Except, of course, the lead actresses, whose recent disappearance threatens to expose Hollywood's darkest - and undead - secrets. It's an evening of suspense, intrigue, and hands-on investigation where no one's hands are clean. As guests come closer to the truth, they must ask themselves how many of their own secrets they’re willing to risk to find it.

Admission includes:

• Five hours of immersive gameplay (5 pm to 10 pm)
• Your choice of a customizable mortal, vampire, or ghoul character
• Two workshops for for character building and rules/safety orientation the afternoon before the game begins
• Professional in-game photography

The game takes place at the Woman's Club of Albany, located in the heart of Albany's Washington Park Historic District. The clubhouse was built in 1895, and the Woman's Club has maintained much of its original architecture and décor while renovating it to suit modern needs. The interior has been featured as a filming location for period dramas. It is included in both state and national registries of historic locations.
