Starting in 2016, Mawi has blended Pop, R&B, and facets of Hip-Hop to create a genre of music emblematic of his romantic endeavors. While other artists stick one sound, Mawi's music encompasses the spectrum of human emotions, making it impossible to label his “sound” as a single adjective. Mawi’s music details the complex emotions of that form when people make relationships, and hopes that his music can highlight sentiments often neglected in mainstream records. Mawi’s music will range from upbeat, funky records such as Patience to slow, emotional ballads such as You’ve Once Known.

Mawi began building his presence on Soundcloud with an EP and a multitude of singles. Through performances ranging from small concert bars to college music festivals across the US, Mawi has been featured in online publications, with his most recent being an in-depth interview from Myth NYC. Mawi was recently featured on Spotify’s “New From NYC: R&B and Soul” playlist and has amassed over 1M streams.

When describing Queens, NY-based artist/singer-songwriter sectiontoo, the word “complacent” should never enter the conversation. Upon first adopting the moniker, sectiontoo (real name Sean Lawrence) made it his mission to never give listeners the same thing twice. He delivers on this promise with 2021’s NEVERNOTHING. Building on the foundation of the sticky, hook-laden 2019 EP Portrait and its stunning 2020 full-length follow-up Cascade Effect (along with several equally high-quality singles in between), NEVERNOTHING showcases his growing versatility as a songwriter and performer, and eagerness to push and stretch himself creatively. The project packs a sonic punch in its short-but-sweet 18-minute runtime, expanding on themes of growth and self-affirmation explored on earlier releases, this time with unabashed confidence in delivery and voice. With a discography growing in quantity and quality, sectiontoo is a name to watch in 2021.

My name is Franklin Elwood Helmen and I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I lived there until I was three, then I move to Warwick, New York. My ethnicity is Trinidadian and Aruban and I am first generation American. I am an R&B artist who has been singing for 6 years now. I have music out on all Platforms and I have performed all around NYC. I’ve performed at venues like SOB’s, Berlin, The Paper Box, The Delancey, Drom, as well as Nublu 151. Performing live is one of my favorite things to do and I am grateful for the opportunities that I’ve had. My goal as an artist is to continue to perform and connect with people from all over the world.

A graduate from IAR “institute of audio research “ He started off producing beats for other artist around his city in the beginning of his career only to one day realize he could harmonize on his own work . He progressed at it and worked on himself , building up his ability to word play and create full body’s of work based on his own life events or what he was going through . I.Deals music is best described as a trap soul feel with some subtle hip hop and Rnb . His sound consist of hard-hitting 808s while still having soft melodic vocals . I.Deal has since then released multiple singles and recently his new EP “BLURRED VISION” which was released last month on all platforms .
