Give the gift of experience! This is a great class for someone who is looking to learn basic bandsaw techniques along with a unique way to construct a box. During the first part of the class you will cut wood pieces on our Sawstop table saw then glue and clamp them up to create a block that you will turn into your one of a kind box at the bandsaw. Skills you will learn include, but are not limited to, band saw safety, learning to cut curves, proper glue up clamp selection, cutting techniques and the hows and whys of blade selection.You will leave with your completed box. Makes a great gift! Once you learn the neccessary techniques to build this type of box you willbe able to adapt those skills to other types of projects requiring bandsaw skills. The possibilities are endless with design options and you are only limitedby your imagination. Be sure to check out our books in store for inspiration. In this class students will be making the same style box. All students receive a 15% off card for day of the class, some restrictions apply. Ages 14-17 are welcome with accompanying parent of legal guardian. Personal protective equipment will be provided if you do not have your own. Close toed shoes are required for all classes.
